What Tyra Banks Taught me about B2B Sales

I honestly really don’t remember much of this day, except I totally recall I was skateboarding on a rooftop mall for some sort of event, possibly the mall opening, I don’t remember. At some point I was in the VIP area, walking down a narrow hallway and all the sudden I see her. Tyra Banks and her entourage are walking towards me, and because I’m a nice polite boy I moved my back to the wall making room for Tyra and crew. As she moved past me, our forearms brushed. And my life changed forever.

Sparks flew, bursts of light, flashes of color. The fireworks in my head were going off like it was 4th of July! Was it inspiration? Maybe? But there it was, I could see my life path and I was unknowingly at a fork in the road. If I continue down the path I’m on it eventually dead ends. But if I take the path of marketing, sales, B2B, SaaS, SEO, internet, tech, smart phones, etc there’s a chance for success. I could hear Tyra’s soft voice say excuse me as she walked by. But I wasn’t there, I mean, physically I was there, but mentally I was on another plane.

At that moment I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. A career in graphic design that will eventually lead into creative direction. A fruitful path which has now lead me to where I am today. Just a simple man with a simple life. And that my friends is the story of when Tyra Banks changed my life forever. Goodnight.
